POSITION: SERVICE TECHNICIAN (DAY SHIFT)
Kaercher Municipal North America (KMNA) is currently seeking a highly motivated Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate would share our vision of providing quality products and service to our customers. As an (Equipment) Mechanic/Technician, you will be responsible for final assembly, pre-delivery inspections, repairs and maintenance.

Core responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, hydrostatic systems; gearboxes, engines, A/C, control elements and body work on various municipal vehicle models

Prep new tractors and attachments for sale

Perform inspections, repairs and reconditioning of equipment

Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment

Maintain clean workshop areas, tools and equipment.

Maintain service truck parts inventory and tools
-
Document parts consumption and repairs when on service calls

Off-site equipment deliveries, repairs and training
Working conditions:
Seasonal hours: Winter (November - April)

Monday - Friday 9 hour shifts 6 am - 3 pm or 10 am - 7 pm.

Rotating On Call Schedule for Weekend (Days)
Off-season

Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
NOTE: This position will at times require extended working hours of up to 12 hours per day while in the service contract period.

Physical requirements include lifting minimum 50 lbs, standing for periods of time, exposure to the elements.

Potential for occasional travel within Canada and the United States (if desired)
Employment requirements:
-
Valid G level driver’s license
-
2+ years of mechanical experience with a strong understanding of modern heavy, agricultural or municipal equipment working principles

Computer understanding for diagnosing and troubleshooting
-
Ability to work with a team, independently, with little supervision
-
Time management skills and multitasking
-
Effective communication with customers and team members
-
Ability to read and comprehend service manuals and diagrams
-
Attention to detail
-
Ability and qualification to operate heavy machinery
-
Anyone with adequate experience in lieu of a license will be considered.

Trade school or college degree (bachelor or associates) preferred. 310S, 310T, 421A will all be considered.

Forklift experience (asset)

Must have own tools. (Note: Service truck is fully equipped)
